Virus warning

It has come to our attention that some players are spreading cheating tools for Faldon which have been infected with a virus. If you use these files they will send everything you type, including account names, character passwords but also things such as creditcard numbers to a specific player who will then be able to abuse that information.

Do NOT accept any files from players, not even 'friends'. If are stupid enough to do so and accept a file from someone anyway then atleast have it scanned on Virustotal.com. This will have the file scanned by like 30+ different types of antivirus software and will show you the results of the scan.

If you fear you may have been infected then please run your antivirus software and let it do a full scan. Incase you do not have any antivirus software installed we suggest you try MBAM. The free version of MBAM will scan your computer and fix any problems it finds.

Game update

Today's server update makes the following changes:

* Fixed support for character names with unusual letters in them.
* GMs can now T you through blocked tell.
* Added a chat moderator system. Chat moderators can only mute and warn about muting.
* Rep is much easier to gain. The target can be between half and twice your level, as long as they are not in your guild, not from the same IP as you, not the same IP as the last person you PKed, and as long as you aren't just standing there macroing it.
* The gauntlets+bow restriction has been removed.
* Miscellaneous fixes and enhancements to GM features.

The Faldon Christmas tree is activated, giving out 1 present per Citizen account (and gold to P accounts). It is located at the north pole Christmas area, you can warp to it from Valour & Midgard.

Translations, New NPCs

I've added support for translating NPCs into other languages. If you'd like to translate the game into your own language, contact me. Also, there are two new NPCs: Rusty to the west of Valour, who trades lumber for arrows, and Pete who buys fish. The former will also give you a short bow as a beginner quest (useful), and the latter is to make fishing a profitable enterprise.

New Quests

In the past few days I've added an NPC named Adrian, who offers two quests. Try it out. :) Additionally, guards will talk to you and give you information, holy knights will heal you and mage guards will restore your mana. If time permits I will be adding Level 1 Summon Spiders to the Witch west of Valour - we'll see.

A new logging system has been placed for us GMs to help us keep track of trouble makers and help us set out projects. Soon see some nice updates. Another note, for the many people who asked to become a M, that question and many others have been answered on the newly created FAQ on the forums.

Town portals

Seems there is still confusion about the town portal update. Town portals now send you to the town where you spawn at. If you want to set it back to Valour then talk to the NPC Rodney. And another note, the Great mines have been added, which leads to the Wyrm cave! Also enjoy the Valour sewers update.
